16 Vehicles in N. Jakarta Towed Within 5 Days

As many as 16 vehicles parked haphazardly in Tanah Merdeka Terminal, Kalibaru, Cilincing, North Jakarta, are towed by 20 joint personnel of North Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, army, and police, through raid against illegal parking that has been ongoing since Monday (9/8).

According to Otto Samosir, Head of Tanah Merdeka Goods Car Terminal, most of the towed vehicle is trailer truck. In addition, officers also tow a Alphard luxury car parked haphazardly.

"The car was towed at around 1 PM. And now, the owner is processing the fine payment," he expressed, Friday (9/12).

Vehicles Parked at Night Will Also Be Towed

Head of Supervision and Control Section for North Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Hengki Sitourus said such car was towed due to its owner had parked haphazardly on Jalan Boulevard Artha Gading around 11 AM.

"Besides towed or paying fines, we also cast speeding ticket," he told.

The raid is focused on Jalan RE Martadinata, around Mangga Dua and Jalan Boulevard Kelapa Gading.
